Remember when “bezel-less” phones still had a bezel? A thin black ring you stopped noticing after a week? TECNO just erased it. Picture a screen with nothing around it at all; no border, just edge-to-edge display.

At IFA ShowStoppers 2026 in Berlin, TECNO is unveiling its Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone, and the headline feature is almost hard to picture until you see it: a true 0mm display border. The tiny 1–2mm black rim that’s clung on between the screen and the frame on every full-screen phone you’ve ever owned? Gone.

Think about what a true 0mm border actually changes about how a phone feels in daily life: photos, videos, and games stretch to the very physical edge of the device with nothing interrupting the image. Your screen stops feeling like a window and starts feeling like the object itself.

TECNO says this is achieved through advanced internal stacking, structural re-engineering, and new screen packaging, essentially rebuilding how the display architecture works from the inside out, rather than just shaving the frame down.

This isn’t TECNO’s first swing at reimagining what a phone can look like, either. It follows the buzz-generating TECNO Modular Concept Phone shown at MWC 2026, so this feels less like a one-off gimmick and more like a company genuinely chasing the idea of the “disappearing” phone.

It’s worth being clear: this is a concept phone , meaning it’s a showcase of what’s technically possible rather than something you’ll be buying at your local shop next month. But concept phones have a track record of previewing where the whole industry ends up heading a year or two later. Think curved edges, under-display cameras, and foldables, all of which started life as “concepts” before becoming everyday features.

TECNO isn’t stopping at the concept phone. The Berlin showcase also features a 360°-hinge laptop, a lineup of ultra-slim CAMON phones, an Italian-designed collaboration with Tonino Lamborghini, and a full spread of everyday smart devices such as watches, earbuds, and tablets. But it’s the bezelless concept phone that’s stealing the spotlight, and for good reason: it’s the kind of innovation you don’t need a spec sheet to appreciate. You just need to look at it.

TECNO’s innovations will be on display at IFA ShowStoppers, Hall 5.3, Tables 501 and 503, Berlin Messe, on September 3.
