Big Eye Supports Kijanangoma, Says Tooro Needs a Mature King

Singer Big Eye StarBoss has weighed in on the ongoing Tooro Kingdom succession dispute, throwing his support behind Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma as the next King.
Big Eye says his preference is for Tooro to have an adult monarch who is ready to take on the responsibilities of the throne without having to wait for him to grow into the role.
In a post shared on Facebook, the singer questioned the idea of returning to a situation where Tooro has a very young king.
“ Personally, I do not agree with once again having a ‘baby as King’ ,” Big Eye said.
According to the singer, selecting a young monarch would mean the Kingdom could once again face a period of waiting for the King to mature before he can independently make major decisions and fully execute his duties.
“ I believe Tooro deserves a king who is ready and capable of providing leadership now,” he added.
Queen Mother Best Kemigisa Claims Family Is Under House Arrest in Fort Portal
Big Eye, however, clarified that his position is based on his personal opinion and that he respects those who hold a different view.
His comments come shortly after the Babiito Clan Succession Committee announced Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma as the successor to the late Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
The announcement has triggered disagreement within the Tooro royal family, with Princess Ruth Komuntale, Princess Elizabeth Bagaya and Queen Mother Best Kemigisa among those who have challenged the decision.
The royal family has argued that King Oyo left a Will containing his wishes on succession and has called for those wishes to be respected.
The conflicting positions have since created uncertainty around the process of choosing Tooro’s next monarch, with the Babiito clan and members of the royal family taking different positions on the succession.
