Sheilah Price Warns Young Girls Against Falling for Celebrity Attention

Influencer Sheilah Price has spoken out about what she describes as the exploitation of young girls by some Ugandan artists, blaming part of the problem on the pressure among young women to maintain lifestyles they cannot afford.

Speaking during an appearance on Deep Talk on Galaxy TV, Sheilah said some young girls become vulnerable because they are desperate to project a flashy lifestyle on social media, even when they cannot genuinely afford it.

“ Most of these young girls want to live in standards they can’t afford, sharing accommodation with fellows and doing all kinds of stuff,” she shared.

According to Sheilah, some of these girls have built a level of fame on platforms such as TikTok, which can attract attention from artists looking to promote their music through challenges and social media content.

She explained that an artist may approach a girl to participate in a music challenge, but instead of keeping the interaction professional, some girls become overly excited simply because they have been contacted by a celebrity.

“If an artist calls you, why not focus? ” she questioned.

Sheilah argued that the excitement of being noticed by a popular musician can sometimes cloud young girls’ judgment, with some eventually becoming romantically or sexually involved with the artists.

She also cautioned young women against getting carried away by celebrity attention, noting that they may not know the artist’s relationship history or how many other women he has been involved with.
